Using graphite pencil and charcoal is often a lengthy process sometimes taking a full day to complete a square inch of work.

A combination of photographs are used as the basis for the pencil artwork helping the artist to engage and capture using various grades of pencil. As a painter uses colour to express the subject, pencil art is the study of tonal value depicting the purity of a subject.

Living in Norfolk England, this self- taught artist has developed his distinctive style and methods. Motivated by his surroundings, he spontaneously captures his subjects with detail, creating unique art with an uncluttered, clean finish and distinctive clarity.

The artists Pen and ink drawings are depictions of imagination and are expressive in nature. Using Indian and acrylic inks with traditional dip nib pens and a small dose of humour. These light hearted pieces offer a change in thought pattern between the more intensive graphite work.
